Portland, ME to Philadelphia, PA to Minnetonka, MN to Forest City, IA

My photographer and I went to Minnetonka, MN for Spring Break. We stopped over in Philadelphia, PA and had lunch with Erin Thompson, my photographer's friend. After enjoying our meal we hopped back on a plane and flew to Minnetonka, MN.

While visiting my photographer's family we went down to Iowa because I had never been. We stayed with my photographer's sister, Laura. She goes to Waldorf College in Forest City, IA. Here I am posing with her at the Waldorf sign and also enjoying hanging out with her in her dorm room.

New York City, NY

Here I am in Union Square. I am standing on a map of Union Square. There was a big farmer's market going on while we were waiting for some of Christina's friends to show up.

Our second stop for the day was at Art In General. This was a small multi-media gallery. I liked it because of the pink door. Can you find me? I sort of blend in with my surroundings.

This is one of the last times that we road the subway so I decided to get my picture taken. Dave was so kind to pose with me. In the reflection of the window you can see some more of our party. From the left is Ling Wen, Christina, and my photographer.

We didn't see many touristy sites while we were in New York City, but while walking along the coast we were able to see The Statue of Liberty. That is the blurry thing in the background.

We did go pay our respects at Ground Zero. It was amazing to see that much open space, rather a void that once held something.

Lastly, we went to PS1. No, I am not talking about where the video game console was made. This is a contemporary art museum. I especially liked this sculpture that was made out of bamboo and encompassed the front courtyard.

Portland, ME to New York City, NY

Since my photographer was a senior at the time the sculpture seniors and professors went to New York City, NY. I was so lucky to come along.

Here we are on the Greyhound bus station waiting to leave to go to New York City, NY. Dave Henderson is sitting behind me in the photo. He is one of four seniors that went on the trip. While riding we went through Conneticut. I haven't been to that state yet. So that is one more off my list.

Here I am in our hotel room. Linda Lambertson shared the room with us. She is one of the other seniors that went on the trip.

Before we called it a night we went to the Whitney. Here you see everyone, but Clayton Cameron. From the left you will see Linda Lambertson, Ling Wen Tsai (Professor), Dave Henderson, and Christina Bechstein (Professor).

Augusta, ME to Camden Hills Park, ME to Boothbay, ME

After seeing Maine's state capital we stopped at Camden Hills Park and walked along the coast before heading to Boothbay, ME.

Here I am in Boothbay, ME. My photographer's good friend, Erin Thompson, lived in Boothbay, ME for the summer. Unfortunately, she wasn't working at Enchantments that day so we missed her.

Portland, ME to Augusta, ME

While Grandma was here for my photographer's parent's weekend at her college, Grandma asked to go see Maine's state capital because she had never been there. So we did a day trip up to Augusta. Here I am acting like King Kong and also posing by Maine's State Capital.

Portland, ME to Philadelphia, PA to Minnetonka, MN to Hinckley, MN

My photographer was so nice to invite me to celebrate Christmas with her family. This was my very first Christmas. The year was 2003.

Aparently my photographer had other plans for me. She must have thought I was an ornament or something because she stuck me Grandma's Christmas tree.

Luckily they took me out on Christmas day so that I could meet my Great Grandma and Great Grandpa. We went up to Hinckly, MN to visit them. They were very nice. I can't wait to see them again sometime.

Salt Lake City, UT to Lava Hot Springs, ID

While on vacation in Salt Lake City we decided to drive up to Idaho and go to the Lava Hot Springs pools. After enjoying our morning there we went and did the scenic route home. While we were driving we saw a sign for the only Man Made Geiser. This sparked our interest. Luckily we got there right around the top of the hour so we got to see it go off.

Here I am standing infront of the Only Man Made Geiser.

Also when crossing back over the border we were able to stop by the state signs. Here I am standing on both sides of the border. So techinically I am in two states right now. How cool is that.

These two photos I am in front of the Idaho sign. My photographer had some fun with me. In the second one it looks like I am on the road.

Portland, ME to Chicago, IL to Salt Lake City, UT

In August of 2003 I was so lucky to accomany my photographer on a trip with Grandma to Grandma's 2003 National Accounting Convention in Salt Lake City, UT. Above is the map of all the states I have been to to date. My photographer and I had a lay over in Chicago, IL so that is one more state of my list.

Here is a photo of me admiring the awesome lamp in our hotel room at The Grand America Hotel.

My photographer and Grandma introduced me to the Hard Rock Cafe. They told me that they always must go to the Hard Rock Cafe if there is a Hard Rock where they travel so that they can get a pin and a t-shirt. They have been to quite a few since they have been traveling.

Portland, ME to Detroit, MI to Minnetonka, MN

This was the first trip that I got to ride on a plane. On my lay over I landed in Detroit, MI. I must say that I only saw the airport, but they have some amazing stuff there. They have a tunnel that goes under the fly pad. It has walls of magnificant colors that change colors as you are walking. They also have a fountain where the water jumps from hole to hole. I was amazed. Later we landed in Minnesota.

This trip home was a happy occassion for my photographer. Her sister Laura, who I am meeting in the photo below, graduated from high school. Although I didn't have a ticket to her graduation I stuck around for the party. While staying in Minnesota, my photographer's parents were so kind to let me stay at their home. Here I am outside there home.

My photographers mother, who wants me to call here Grandma, enjoys her plants that are outsider her house. Although she doesn't like to weed she enjoys the color in the yard. I am glad that my photographer's family has excepted me as one of the family. I am unsure where my family is so I am glad that I have such loving people that surround me.

Lastly here I am in their living room. My photographer told me that when her grandfather lived here he built the family room on and because he had health problems that restrained him from going outside he built windows all around so that he could look out and see the nature thrive and change. Also she told me that her father loves to play pool and is always looking for people to play with him, especially his daughter when she is home.

Portland, ME to Cleveland, OH Trip

Here are the states that my first trip brought me through. I joined my photographer on her trip to bring her Ford Explorer to Cleveland to swap vehicles with her mom. Now she has a Ford Focus. She misses her Ford Explorer, but it was its time to go. Here Ford Focus has been through a lot in the last year, but I think it has brought her closer to her vehicle.

Now here are some pictures of me in the hotel room we stayed at. I was exhausted from the trip so I sat down and turned the tube on.

Here I am prepairing for my first exploration. The first trip I ever went on was bringing my photographer's Ford Explorer to Cleveland, OH. Also the building in the back of this photo is my first home.
